On September 23rd, 2005, in compliance with Presidential Decree No 382 of 07/11/1980 (as modified by Law 705/85) a university consortium named School for Graduate and Post-Graduate Training & Education (Scuola per l'Alta Formazione) was set up following a proposal by a group of university professors from different disciplines and universities. With Nova Universitas as its trademark, the consortium aims at generating opportunities for reviving the spirit of the early University in today’s modern world.
The consortium is made up of the following members: Bicocca University – Milan, Federico II University - Naples, Luiss Guido Carli University - Rome, Macerata University, Udine University, Catania University, Second University of Naples.
The consortium benefits from the logistical and organizational support of the C.E.U.R. (European Center for University and Research) Foundation, a legally-recognized student housing and counselling institution directly supervised by the Ministy for Education, University, and Research, with facilities in several university towns.
